Pastor Michael J. Gray
Pastor Michael Jerome Gray is a native of LaGrange, Georgia. In 1975, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. Pastor Gray was joined in marriage to his God given helpmeet, First Lady, Lisa Gray in September 1982. They have been blessed with five wonderful children.
Pastor Gray’s hunger and thirst for the Word of God led him to join Sword of the Word Evangelistic Ministries in 1989. This is where he answered the call of God, and began studying, learning and serving under the direction of Pastors and Mentors, Edgar and Ann Mack. Pastor Gray was ordained into the Office of Pastor as the first son of Sword of the Word Evangelistic Ministries by Pastor Edgar and Ann Mack.
While a son at Sword of the Word Evangelistic Ministries, he served on many committees.
He also served as Volunteer Chaplain for Southern Regional Hospital in Riverdale, Georgia. While continuing to be committed, faithful and obedient under the leadership of Pastor Edgar Mack, God led Pastor Gray to found The Word of God Christian Ministries Church where he passionately carries on the vision as he serves. He is a compassionate pastor, preacher, and teacher of the Word of God.
Pastor Gray is an advocate of education. His Theological education was obtained from Beulah Heights Bible College in Atlanta, Georgia, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Education. He also obtained a Master of Arts degree in Christian Counseling from Luther Rice Bible College. Pastor Gray is a Christian man of visions and dreams. He envisions a world in which the church and the community work hand in hand for the betterment of the people.
Through God’s grace and mercy, he is steadfastly working to fulfill those dreams and visions. As a pastor and overseer, Pastor Michael Gray has committed himself to seeing unbelievers become believers and believers come to maturity in Christ. Pastor Gray believes in teaching and preaching the Pure, uncompromised Word of God. He is a man of visions and dreams chosen by God to turn those dreams and visions into realities.
